Skannr Ltd Terms and Conditions

By using our website and booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

  • 1.1 In these Terms, the following words have the following meanings:
    • Appointment: The date and time scheduled for you to undergo a medical imaging procedure.
    • Booking: Your confirmed order for an Appointment.
    • Imaging Partner: A third-party imaging centre we refer you to.
    • Imaging Services: The diagnostic imaging services provided by an Imaging Partner.
    • Additional Charges: Any charges for services not included in the standard Appointment Fee.
    • Appointment Fee: The price you pay for the standard imaging service.
    • Pre-Consultation: A consultation prior to the imaging procedure to assess appropriateness and safety.

2. Our Services

  • 2.1 Skannr operates as a referral and booking facilitator. We do not provide healthcare or diagnostic services ourselves.
  • 2.2 We act as your agent in booking imaging services with our Imaging Partners.
  • 2.3 We will:
    • Assess your suitability for imaging through a Pre-Consultation.
    • Refer your case to an appropriate Imaging Partner.
    • Provide you with booking confirmation and instructions.
    • Offer a secure platform to access your results.

3. Role of Imaging Partners

  • 3.1 The Imaging Partner is solely responsible for:
    • Conducting the scan.
    • Ensuring the clinical accuracy of the scan and report.
    • Providing appropriate patient care during your visit.
  • 3.2 Skannr shall not be liable for any act, omission, or negligence by an Imaging Partner.

4. Booking Process

  • 4.1 You may book online or via customer support.
  • 4.2 As part of the process, you will be asked to:
    • Provide personal and medical details.
    • Select the desired scan and region.
    • Choose from available scan providers.
  • 4.3 Your Booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a Booking Confirmation Email.
  • 4.4 You are responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted.

5. Pre-Consultation

  • 5.1 A Pre-Consultation will be conducted by a qualified healthcare professional.
  • 5.2 This is used to:
    • Verify medical appropriateness.
    • Recommend any required changes to the scan (e.g., contrast agent).
    • Identify potential contraindications.
  • 5.3 Skannr reserves the right to cancel or alter your Booking if clinically necessary.

6. Appointment and Attendance

  • 6.1 Appointment times are subject to Imaging Partner availability.
  • 6.2 You must arrive 10-15 minutes early and bring:
    • Photo ID.
    • Medical history, medications.
    • Insurance details (if applicable).
  • 6.3 Failure to attend or late arrival (10+ minutes) may be treated as a no-show with no refund due.

7. Fees and Payments

  • 7.1 You agree to pay the full Appointment Fee at the time of booking.
  • 7.2 Any Additional Charges will be:
    • Communicated to you during or after Pre-Consultation.
    • Payable directly to Skannr prior to service delivery.
  • 7.3 Payment methods include: credit/debit card, PayPal, or other options as offered.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

  • 8.1 You have a legal right to cancel within 14 calendar days of Booking ("Cooling-Off Period"), unless the Appointment occurs during that time and you consent to early service.
  • 8.2 If cancelled:
    • 48 hours before the Appointment: full refund minus £50 admin fee.
    • <48 hours before or no-show: no refund.
  • 8.3 Skannr may cancel a Booking due to provider unavailability, compliance issues, or technical faults.

9. Changes to Bookings

  • 9.1 You may request changes with >48 hours notice.
  • 9.2 We may accommodate changes subject to provider availability and updated pricing.
  • 9.3 Refunds will be issued for any downgraded service where appropriate.

10. Scan Results

  • 10.1 Results (images and reports) will be available within 10 business days via our secure portal.
  • 10.2 In urgent cases, a healthcare professional will contact you directly.
  • 10.3 You may request copies of your images via email or through our system.
  • 10.4 Skannr is not liable for report accuracy or diagnostic conclusions.
  • 10.5 Skannr acts as a facilitator and does not generate or control the delivery of scan results. Any responsibility for producing and providing your images and reports lies solely with the Imaging Partner. Accordingly, we are not liable for any delays in the availability of your results that arise from issues within the Imaging Partner's processes, staff, or systems, including delays caused by the reporting clinicians or associated personnel.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • 11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skannr's total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of our services shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant Appointment.
  • 11.2 Skannr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your Booking or use of Imaging Services.

12. Data Protection and Privacy

  • 12.1 Your personal and medical information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
  • 12.2 By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information with Imaging Partners for the purposes of providing the Imaging Services.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • 13.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
  • 13.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to These Terms

  • 14.1 We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on our website with the revised Effective Date.
  • 14.2 Your continued use of our services following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
